My Personal Style: Fall Layering Tricks September 29 2016, 2 Comments
The sun starts to set a little earlier and there’s an undeniable crisp chill in the air... Season of layering and chic outerwear has officially begun!
Yup, fall is around the corner indeed and for many fashion lovers, it's favourite period of the year! Why? Because it's time for some serious layering and layering your clothes is one of the most effective ways to put together a unique and interesting outfit.
When layering, you have to try contrasting colours as well as experiment with different fabrics and textures. Creating contrasts with materials such as wool, leather, fur, silk and knitwear will add an extra dimension to your look. Beside the stylish part, layering is also super practical during transitional weather period, when temperatures tend to vary a lot from morning till dawn. You just take off the coat or jacket and you're quickly adapted for warmer temperature.
In this look, I played with many different materials - leather, faux leather, wool, fur and knit and black colour was a base for the colourful pieces such as our best seller ruffle coat in turquoise, purple python skin boots and or amazing fur collar in beautiful mix of black, silver, purple and blue. Adding an unexpected twist to the look was crucial because of the colour matching, so pop of red zebra pattern in a form of the cutest little clutch, attached to my bigger tote was the perfect eye catching accessory to complement this layered fall look.
Dare to go bold this fall and create unexpected layering looks that are sure to make you stand out.

My Personal Style: Lady In Red For A Sunday Lunch February 21 2016, 4 Comments
Sometimes, I love to create drama on the street with my looks and I enjoy when people stare! Today, I am in just the right mood to put on some bold monochromatic look with a pop of print and have an extremely chic Sunday lunch with my love and friends.
Monochromatic dressing is a sleek and sophisticated way to get a polished look. This type of dressing is super easy, simply pick one color or mix several complimentary shades of one color together, which is what I’m doing today. Soft neutrals always look very chic, but bright, bold colors, such as red, bring the entire look to another level. Dressing in one color is also a great way to highlight a particular piece, such as our beautiful leopard cross body bag, which now really pops out among other statement pieces - luxurious red fur collar and gorgeous hat. Agree?

My Personal Style: Camel & Jeans = Eternal Classic April 20 2015, 8 Comments
Everyone can wear camel. In fact, there is certain rule, that every fashionista should own a coat or a jacket in camel colour. It’s rich looking, a perfect shade for autumn and spring and a very versatile neutral for any working wardrobe.
The trick is to pick the right silhouette and season-appropriate fabric/texture. Furthermore, camel matches everything, and it is the only shade other than black that actually looks grand when worn from head-to-toe.
However, our The Lie by JPZ camel jacket, elegantly enhanced with fur trim, is a must investment piece, which will not let you go unnoticed. And paired with jeans - there’s a winning combination. Add our chic Basic Minimalistic Shopper with gold hardware and leopard ankle boots or pumps and you are bound to be an imminent threat.

Favourite The Lie by JPZ Christmas Covers & Spreads January 17 2015, 14 Comments
Before I established and launched my brand, I worked as a stylist for many Slovenian magazines, such as Playboy, Story, Bella Donna, Obrazi, Eva and many others. And the working period I loved the most, was always December, since all the covers, editorials and interview spreads have this festive thematic, which I absolutely adore, since Christmas is also my favourite holiday. Now, since I work as a designer, my styling is mostly desired by those celebrities, who love and wear The Lie by JPZ products, so they often want me to style them in my design for certain photoshootings. And this past December was no different. So here are my favourite December 2014 covers and interview spreads in my styling and design. Gorgeous singer Rebeka Dremelj in The Lie by JPZ white lara’s hat, fur collar, dress, earrings and belt ( 1st outfit ), red evening gown and earrings ( 2nd outfit) & black lara’s hat, povder pink skirt, hand muff, fur pom pom belt and earrings (3rd outfit). Stunning TV host Lili Žagar in The Lie by JPZ top, belt, skirt and multi chain necklace. And former Miss Earth Slovenia 2011 and now actress in Mexico, lovely Rebecca Kim Lekše in The Lie by JPZ red evening gown, earrings and red lara’s hat ( 1st outfit) & pink turban, one sleeve dress and earrings. These three ladies have all become The Lie by JPZ winter queens.Which one is your favourite;)?

My Personal Style: From Russia With Love January 06 2015, 8 Comments
Yes, there is something with me and Russia. I draw inspiration from Russia almost every year in my FALL/WINTER collections as well as in my personal style. I fell in love with Russia already long time ago, when I was still a professional ballet dancer. And, the item, that I love the most, is definitely iconic lara's hat (as you may already noticed, right?). I often get confused for a Russian girl. Especially in the winter time, probably because of lara's hat and other fur products that I love to use in my outfits. I will never forget a guy on the Covent Garden market in London, which screamed behind me "beautiful Masha from Russia", and I guess I love to be a Russian girl from time to time, even if just for a while, until I make it clear I come from a beautiful small country in central Europe, called Slovenia.
My favorite period of the year is definitely winter, when I can play around and experiment with layering (which I absolutely love), interesting coats, gloves, fur collars, hand muffs, fur hats, beanies, normal hats, scarfs and boots. A whole new world of options opens up in the winter time, giving plenty of space for creativity. It is all about the outerwear you pick which then becomes your statement of the season. This winter I have a huge crush on long coats and over the knee boots, so here are two outfits with the same coat and different accessories, both inspired by the beautiful Russia... Which one do you like best?
